With this in mind, we welcome applicants who work hard, are on track to secure high grades and are aiming to secure a place at top universities & destinations. At Astrea, our admissions process will support you to make wise subject choices that will open doors to exciting degree programmes and brilliant careers.

Admission to Astrea Academy Sheffield Sixth Form involves:

  • Submitting an online application form through Sheffield Progress
  • Having two short meetings with the Head of Sixth Form about your academic interests and goals
  • Achieving the required grades

Minimum entry requirements: Scholars must:

  • Achieve 5 grade 5s or above including English Lang & Mathematics
  • Meet subject specific GCSE entry requirements as outlined below

Applying to Astrea Academy Sheffield

  • Applicants from Schools in Sheffield should use Sheffield Progress. Scholars in Sheffield schools will be guided on how to do this by their current school.
  • If you attend a private school, or live outside of Sheffield, then use the self-registration guide to UCAS progress on our website.

Key Dates

7th  November 2024 – Open Evening

8th November 2024: Sixth Form Applications open

November and December: First guidance meeting with Sixth Form (External)

24th January 2025: Sixth Form Application deadline *

January 2025: First guidance meeting with Head of Sixth Form (External)

February 2025:  Conditional offers shared with scholars

March 2025: Second guidance meeting with Head of Sixth Form to finalise subject choices (Internal & External)

25th and 26th June 2025: Sixth Form Transition Days

21st August 2025: Enrolment Day
