A successful scholar after Year 8 will:
- Discuss further topics and content in science as well as retrieve and practice those basics from Y7
- Be explain how the scientific method influences theories to the pointwhere those theories change

A successful scholar after Year 9 will:
- Be confident with all the basic scientific content to feel ready to start their GCSE courses in Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Be able to apply the content to real world situations and discuss how to plan and carry out scientific investigations

Half-term 2: Cell biology, Bonding structure and properties, Radioactivity
Half-term 3: Organisation, Chemical changes, Energy

Half-term 6: Ecology, Chemistry of the atmosphere, Space
A successful scholar after Year 10 will:
- Have covered all of their paper 1 content for their GCSEs and be confident in discussing scientific ideas and will be starting to put content together with new theories and having a deeper understanding of the scientifc method
Half-terms 1 and 2: Homeostasis and response, Chemical analysis, Waves
Half-term 3: Inheritance, variation and evolution, Using resources, Magnetism and electromagnetism
Half-terms 4 and 5: Biology – Revision, Chemistry – Revision, Physics – Revision
Half-term 6: Exams
A successful scholar after Year 11 will:
- Have completed all their GCSE content and be confident in applying that in exam situations
- Be confident in the science content and also in the understanding of how scientists investigate and interpret results to influence science thinking
