A successful scholar after Year 7 will:
- Be able to think critically about meaningful questions about life
- Attain important disciplinary knowledge
- Gain knowledge about the roots of Abrahamic faiths
Half-term 1: What is Judaism?
Half-term 2: What is Christianity?
Half-term 3: What is Islam?
Half-term 4: What is Hinduism?
Half-term 5: What is Buddhism?
Half-term 6: What is Sikhism?
A successful scholar after Year 8 will:
- Have a deep understanding of the history, beliefs and teachings of traditionally major worldviews
- Compare and contrast Abrahamic faiths and dharmic traditions
- Understand the place of different worldviews in relation to each other
Half-term 1: How do we debate?
Half-term 2: What are alternatice worldviews?
Half-term 3: Is philosophy the answer?
Half-term 4: How do ethics affect our lives?
Half-terms 5 and 6: What is the place of religion and worldview in contemprary society?
A successful scholar after Year 9 will:
- Reinforce key disciplinary knowledge in orer to discuss and debate philosophcal and ethical topics
- Use their knowledge of major world faiths and traditions to answer important ethical questions
- Broaden their knowledge of faiths and traditions from Y8 to include alternative worldviews, including non-religious worldviews

- Solidify knowledge from KS3 and develop their understanding of Christianity and Islam
- Be able to successfully plan, structure and write academic responses to exam-style questions
- Engage with ethical issues with maturity, compassion, whilst providing insightful and critical points of view

A successful scholar after Year 11 will:
- Build on their knowledge and skills from Y10
- Understand how to achieve sucess in all aspects of the religious education assessment
- Be able to identify personal areas of developent and have a clear path forward to improvement
- Enter their revision period with resillience and a desire to demonstrate the very best of themselves in their religious education assessment
